Andrew and I (Catherine) have been married since 1992, we have two children
Alexander and Lucinda. Both of us were brought up with dogs, Andrew had an
Old English Sheepdog and I had a Red Setter. Our first family dog was a Chocolate
Labrador who was very loving , but hard work.
We had a few years without a dog but our house felt empty. This time I chose the breed I had long admired - Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Andrew thought they were ‘girly dogs’ at first but when our first tri-colour Dylan arrived in 2003, he was smitten.
Lucinda asked if she could train Dylan for junior handling and we were lucky enough to have a ring craft class that we could walk to. It was run by Felicity Freer who is well known as a trainer and handler so we were in good hands. Our daughter has continued to handle over the years and more recently has become part of our affix to take on more responsibility.
In 2006, Miletree Touch of Love in Calonlan (Poppy) came to live with us. She was a brilliant introduction into the world of showing and also proved herself as a mother. We then began breeding and the rest is, as they say, history!
We are members of the Cavalier Club and most other regional Clubs as well. As we live in Hampshire we mostly support the Southern, Midland, Eastern Counties, West of England and South & West Wales Cavalier Clubs, but are occasionally available to support the rest! We are also life members of Windsor and Richmond Dog show societies.
Our aim is to produce consistently healthy, happy, sound and beautiful dogs.
